GDPR (General Data Protection Regulation) is a set of rules newly implemented to have more control over personal data. As a result, people are getting privacy updates from the services they are registered. Know Your Privacy meetup was organized to help people understand what is going on and why GDPR is important!
The event took place on the 4th of July 2018 in Hive (Mass Innovation).
The first speaker, Mr.Mafaz Hassan who works as an associate software Architect at Code Gen international gave a broad explanation on what GDPR is and why it is very important to have such rules in this world of technology.
For the second session for the evening, Mr.Chamal Chamikara who works as a senior software engineer at IoT and Open Source Technologies at OutSmart Hub, took the stage to explain how GDPR has impacted the world of internet of things.
The event ended with some mouth-watering refreshments, and all the participants went home with there minds and tummies filled :p
